Energy Conservation at EGUSD
In order to save natural resources, protect the environment and set a good example for students, the Elk Grove Unified School District’s Board of Education set a goal for the district to save $1.3 million in energy costs for the 2011-2012 school year.
The Energy Conservation Committee organized an Energy Logo Contest to allow secondary students to use their artistic talents to create a logo.

Energy Conservation Month
October is Energy Conservation Month which provides us the opportunity to increase awareness of the energy challenges we face as a school district. For more than 15 years, government organizations — in partnership with businesses, associations, and concerned citizens — have observed this month with activities and programs to promote public understanding of our energy needs and to reduce energy consumption in our everyday lives.
