Mission

The SCOE/ROP will develop and align resources in order to provide innovative, meaningful, quality career experiences to lifelong learners. Through these resources and experiences, students will attain marketable skills and pursue post secondary education in preparation for work in the 21st century.

Students who complete SCOE/ROP will be:

1. Career Planners who

  • Demonstrate a marketable skill set in a specific career area
  • Investigate emerging career fields
  • Define short-term/long-term career goals
  • Identify steps for career growth and lifelong learning

2. Models for the Work Ethic who

  • Arrive on time and maintain assigned schedules
  • Produce quality work
  • Perform responsibly as individual and team member
  • Use appropriate business etiquette and ethics

3. Technology Users who

  • Select and use a variety of appropriate technologies related to his/her career filled
  • Continually upgrade skills

4. Problem Solvers and Conflict Resolvers who

  • Brainstorm solutions
  • Analyze situations objectively
  • Maintain composure
  • Propose a positive plan of action

5. Effective Communicators who

  • Speak clearly using professional language/terminology
  • Write grammatically and technically correct material
  • Read and comprehend technical material
