Period 1 Test : FHS Documentary (warm-up to SEVA Documentary)

 

Assignment: Create a 2 minute Documentary/Report on FHS (60 points)

 

Steps to take:

1)     Break into 4 team members

a.      1 person ready the intro (10 seconds using digital images found in media/school images)

b.      2 people go out and video’s school footage to use. Must include someone describing areas/programs of school

c.      1 person finds at least 15 facts from http://www.egusd.k12.ca.us/ - find Franklin High and then go to School Accountability Report Card for more facts.

 

2)     Assemble intro, footage and any other creativity into a 2+ minute (maximum 3 minutes) documentary about FHS. The documentary must include:

a.      10 second fast moving intro (using digital images) with music

b.      15+ facts about FHS. Facts can be presented using text over images or film and/or voice over

c.      On camera personality talking about FHS (they can tell viewers about no more than 10 of the facts)

d.      10 seconds of ending credits with music

 

3)     Export as a full quality Video (NOT H264) file to /hancock/video/TV-P1

 

You have 3 days to complete this project –

 

Grading:

a)     Complete 1 thru 3 above on time

b)     Use proper shot and composition standards

c)      Audio is clear and equal throughout project

d)     Creative and clever work and editing

 

Poor intros, facts, editing, narration and on camera personality won’t do your grade any good.
