From our Counseling Staff - SPARC
Thank you to those parents who attended the Incoming 7th Grade Parent Orientation nights. For those of you who could not attend, below is the PowerPoint presentation for your viewing.
PARENT ORIENTATION
Dear Parent/Guardian:
Many times I receive emails from you expressing appreciation when a job is well done. These emails are SO appreciated! We love to hear what we are doing right! I wanted to extend to you two other opportunities to report such occasions (or occasions when we miss the mark):
1) Customer Service Survey …. Allows you an opportunity to report on our efficiency in the office area.
CUSTOMER SERVICE SURVEY (please be sure to save this document first with your comments, and then send to
Ksall@egusd.net)
2) Albiani Accolades ….Allows you an opportunity to recommend any staff member to receive an Albiani Accolades certificate. This form will ask you to indicate why you are recognizing the staff member. I will present the certificate at monthly staff meetings.
ALBIANI ACCOLADES (please be sure to save this document first with your comments, and then send to Ksall@egusd.net)
Please complete the form and send to Kris Sall at Ksall@egusd.net via email. Thank you for taking the time to let us know how we are doing.
Cordially,
Ramona Nelson

Backpack Information
KAMS
Backpack Update
In
response to concerns about backpack weight, KAMS teachers
and administrators have come to the following agreements:
- Each
student will keep ONE binder.
- Dividers will be used for each
of their six classes.
- English 7 teachers would like students to have five sections
for their class.
- Students MAY be asked to carry a lightweight, three prong
folder for each of their classes.
- PE
manuals can be inserted into a three prong paper folder
and stored in the student’s PE locker. Students do not need to carry
this folder in their backpack.
To
reduce backpack weight, English and math textbooks should
be left at home. KAMS has purchased class sets
for daily use.
The only textbooks students need to
carry are science and history.
Students may need
to carry a personal reading book.
Rest
assured teachers and administration are continuing to
look for ways to decrease the backpack load.
