Kara Boyles places 6th in The California Central Valley Spelling Bee


Congratulations to Kara Boyles, a Kerr eighth grader who won Kerr's Spelling Bee and to Ciara Uselmann, seventh grade runner-up. Kara represented Kerr at the Sacramento County pre-qualifying Bee on January 17 and qualified for the oral phase of the California Central Valley Spelling Bee. She joined other top spellers in grades 3 through 8 who attend schools in Sacramento, Colusa, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Solano, Sutter, Yuba, and Yolo counties at the Central Valley Spelling Bee held Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center in Sacramento where she finished in a terrific 6th place. Congratulations, Kara!
