The middle school summer instructional program is provided through comprehensive summer schools at every EGUSD middle school. The goal of the program is to provide intervention and enrichment instruction that will allow students to improve academic skills, plus earn make-up credits to promote to the next grade level.

Location:   All Elk Grove District Middle Schools

Term 1:     June 18 ­ July 19 (except July 4)

Term 2:     July 12 ­ August 3 (Toby Johnson MS)

Time:        8:00am - 12:20pm, Mon-Thur + July 6

Make-up and Enrichment Courses available

The EGUSD 2006 secondary summer school program will assist students toward making adequate progress by offering CAHSEE support instruction, English Language Arts 7, 8, 9 and10, and pre-algebra I through applied geometry. The 2007 secondary summer school program will also provide the opportunity for students to make up credit or accelerate in English 9, 10 and 11 (make-up only), English 12 (early grads only), social science courses, mathematics courses, science courses, Spanish, health, art 1 and computer technology. Because of funding restrictions the number of sections offered will be limited in all courses, except CAHSEE support, English 7, 8, 9 and 10, pre-algebra, algebra1 and applied geometry.
