Laguna Creek High School student named to inaugural California All-State Academic Team March 14, 2008 Chuan-Song “Alan” Lin was named to California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first-ever California All-State Academic Team at the 1st Annual Governor’s Academic Recognition Dinner on March 11, 2008. A total of 144 students were invited to the Governor’s Academic Recognition and All-State Academic Team Awards Dinner. From these students, 25 were named to the California All-State Academic Team. All-State Academic Team members were chosen by the Governor’s Office based on GPA, SAT scores, class rank, extra-curricular activities, community service and volunteer activities. Lin was the only student from Sacramento County to be named to the California All-State Academic Team. Lin, a senior at Laguna Creek High School, is ranked first in his class and currently holds a GPA of 4.6. His activities and honors include: Sacramento Youth Symphony Premier Orchestra violinist, Academic Decathlon medalist and first place in the California State Fair art contest.
