Employees of the Year announced at EGUSD

Elk Grove Unified employees were recognized as Employees of the Year on April 23, 2008 for their hard work and commitment to the district. Members of the Superintendent’s Cabinet on “prize patrol” surprised the winners at their worksites with recognitions, flowers and balloons.

Steven M. Ladd, Ed.D, superintendent for Elk Grove Unified, presented employees of the year with a certificate of recognition. All nine employees will be officially recognized and honored by the EGUSD Board of Education at the May 20, 2008 board meeting.

The 2008 Employees of the Year are:

Tina Rees, a maintenance locksmith in Maintenance & Operations, was named Classified Employee of the Year.

Edward Diggs, a bus driver with the Transportation Department, was named Classified Employee of the Year.

Brynda Wilson, an instructional assistant who works with special education students, was also named Classified Employee of the Year.

Mary Rey, an administrative assistant in Curriculum/Professional Learning, is the Confidential/Supervisory Employee of the Year.  

Lynn Bonfond, a school secretary at T.R. Smedberg Middle School, is the Administrative Support Employee of the Year. 

Janet Anderson, a third grade teacher at Elliott Ranch Elementary School, was named one of two Teachers of the Year. 

Maureen Messier, a performing arts teacher at Sheldon High School, was also named Teacher of the Year. 

Keven MacDonald, principal of T.R. Smedberg Middle School, was named Certificated Administrator of the Year. 

Annette Buckmaster, director of classified personnel was named Classified Administrator of the Year.
