EGUSD schools sponsor E-waste collection days

Don’t toss that old computer in the trash can – recycle it instead!  The following schools are hosting e-waste collection days:

  • Harriet Eddy Middle School – Saturday, September 12th, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Toby Johnson Middle School – Saturday, September 12th, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Elk Grove High School – Saturday, September 19th, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Franklin High School – Saturday, September 26th, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Pleasant Grove High School – Saturday, October 3rd, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

E-waste can be dropped off at these locations on the aforementioned days.

Items accepted at the collection days include: monitors, televisions, desktop and notebook PCs, VCRs, stereo equipment, speakers, keyboards, mice, PDAs, digital cameras, ZIP drives, telephones, cell phones, printers, copiers, laser and multi-functional peripherals, scanners and fax machines.

Items that will not be accepted include: household batteries, appliances, tires, furniture, mattresses, lumber, chemicals, commercial waste, dirt, rocks, debris or microwaves.
