January 3, 2011 Here is what’s going on in the Elk Grove Unified School District during the week of January 3-8: January 3: All Elk Grove Unified School District schools and offices are open today. January 5: Parents of students at Edward Harris, Jr. Middle School are invited to attend the next session of Parent University from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. This month’s topics are “Communicating with Adolescents & Resolving Conflicts/Bullying/Sexual Harassment.” January 8: The Sheldon High School Men’s Soccer Club and Sober Grad Committee will host an E-Waste Recycling Event from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 8th in the Sheldon High School parking lot. Accepted items include: televisions, monitors, computers, computer components, computer peripherals, scanners, printers, cell phones, telephones, laptops, radios, MP3 players, VCRs, DVD players, fax machines, shredders, video game consoles and power supplies/cables.
