Elk Grove Adult and Community Education (EGACE) is now accepting registration for fall 2012 classes.  Classes with a September start date cover a variety of areas, including computers, cooking, art, personal growth and special interest:

Financial Record Keeping for Small Businesses
This class is great for the small business owner who needs to better understand financial record keeping.  Students will learn about the balance sheet, income statements, cash or accrual basis accounting methods, debits/credits and how the affect financial statements.  Students will then move into the QuickBooks Pro 2011 and learn how to use this program to manage their company finances. 
Dates: Monday (September 5-19) and Saturday (September 22-November 3)
Time: Monday (6 p.m. to 9 p.m.) and Saturday (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
Fee: $269 plus $99 materials fee

Computer Classes
This fall, EGACE is offering computer classes in a self-paced, small-group, instructor supported computer lab environment.  Each course takes 24-hours to complete.  Students can choose from morning, afternoon or evening hours.  Students can choose from the following courses:  Introduction to Computers, Keyboarding, Word 2007, EXCEL 2007, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher and 10-Key.

Fee:  $119 plus materials fee ranging from $25-$31. 

Beginning Chinese
Study and learn the unique and interesting Chinese language.  This class is perfect for beginners.  Students will learn and practice the basics of Pinyin.  They will learn proper pronunciation, useful phrases and simple sentence structure.
Dates: Wednesdays (September 19-November 17)
Time:  7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Fee: $99 plus $15 materials fee
