RECOGNITIONS

Project ACT would like to recognize the contributions of the following individuals, agencies and companies for their contributions to last year’s holiday food basket and gift giving event for 26 homeless and/or needy families with children in the District.

· Over 70 members of the Rotary Club of Elk Grove donated food baskets with all the fixings for a full holiday dinner for each family, and gifts for the 66 children.

· Ralph’s grocery store gave the Rotarians a discount on their purchases and hosted a reception to celebrate the season and recognize the collaborative efforts of those involved, a reception was held for families picking up their baskets and gifts.

· Brownie Girl Scout Troop #735, under the direction of Allison Tucker, helped assemble the baskets and helped wrap the presents.

· Several Kerr Middle School students mentored by Rotarians assisted with the distribution.

· Kimi Kaneko in Curriculum/Professional Learning generously donated cosmetics, cosmetic bags, and hygiene items.

· Leticia Gonzales, Human Services Specialist with The Elk Grove Office of the Department of Human Assistance helped identify families based on need and their efforts to improve their situations.
