Here is some great information about many of our school programs. Coffee Klatch Coffee & Conversation is an opportunity for parents to come together to meet with the principal and discuss topics of interest. All parents are welcome.

eScrip (Safeway)
Our school is participating in the eScrip program. This program helps us raise a great deal of money for our school. Stores/merchants donate a portion of your purchases to our school. All you have to do is go online and register.

To help us out, just go to their website: http://www.escrip.com and click on "Sign Up." Then enter our Group ID (6630481). Follow the steps to complete your registration and you're done.

Cartridges For Kids
Our school collects used/dried up printer cartridges through a program called Cartridges For Kids. Please bring these cartridges to school and we will get them recycled and earn money for our school.

School Site Council
The School Site Council (SSC) is composed of an equal number of parents and staff members. The SSC is responsible for the development, monitoring, and evaluation of the School Improvement/Achieving Bold Goals Plan. The agendas for the SSC meetings are posted in the office three days prior to our meetings. Parents are welcome to attend all meetings.



Target Excellence
Target Excellence is a program that transforms after school hours into a fun, safe, and productive experience for children. Target Excellence is being offered to children at our school. You can get more information on this program at our Back To School Night on August 30th. Here is a list of some of the activities that we will provide through Target Excellence:

Peer Mediators
Peer mediators are an important part of our school. Students are selected and trained for these positions. They are trained to assist other students in finding solutions to problems on the playground.

Student Council
The student council with elected members from 3rd-6th grades meets monthly. The Student Council helps students by: a) developing an understanding of the democratic process, b) developing school spirit, c) providing communication between administration and students, and d) giving students experience in leadership roles.

Learning Center
The Learning Center supports students identified by the classroom teacher(s) as needing additional time and/or practice in mastering basic skills and grade level standards.
