GENERAL QUESTIONS

Here at Stone Lake, one of our most important goals is to communicate clearly with the families of our students. Families play a critical role in the education of children, and we would like to make sure that our expectations are clear, and that your questions are answered as quickly as possible.

STONE LAKE ELEMENTARY - 2009/2010

MASTER SCHEDULE FOR MINIMUM/TRACK CHANGE DAYS

AM & PM KINDER 8:00am – 11:31am
GRADES 1-6 8:15am – 12:30 pm


MASTER SCHEDULE FOR REGULAR SCHOOL DAYS

AM KINDER 8:00am – 11:31am
PM KINDER 11:05am – 2:36pm
GRADES 1-6 8:15am– 2:35pm

On rainy days and excessively hot days, children spend recess indoors.

STONE LAKE UNIFORM POLICY

TOPS FOR BOYS & GIRLS:
Solid white, navy blue

 Polo type shirts or blouses with collar, sleeves; shirt or blouse with collar, buttons down the front, short or long sleeves; turtleneck or mock turtleneck.
**All children will be encouraged to keep their shirts tucked in.
**Only the school emblem will be accepted on tops.
BOTTOMS FOR BOYS & GIRLS:
Solid navy blue, khaki (tan)		 Capri Slacks- with or without cuffs, pleated, or plain; walking shorts - no shorter than mid-thigh; with or without cuffs, pleated or plain. Capri pants
**No "sagging" or "baggies" - this means that all pants must stay up on the waist if a belt were removed.
**No athletic wear.
BOTTOMS FOR GIRLS:
Solid navy blue, khaki		 Skorts (shorts with front flap) - No shorter than mid-thigh.
Skirts - No Shorter than mid-thigh (at least) pleated, gathered, or straight.
TIGHTS/LEGGINGS/BIKE SHORTS:
Solid navy blue or white		 Tights, leggings or bike shorts/work-out type shorts can be worn under skirts, skorts, shorts, or jumpers.
**Leggings and bike shorts can ONLY be worn under an outfit and cannot be worn as a bottom alone.

JUMPERS FOR GIRLS:

Solid navy blue, khaki, or McKinsley Plaid (Nordstrom)

Jumper - pleated, gathered, or straight
BELTS FOR BOYS & GIRLS:
Navy blue, black, or brown Plain or braided;
leather-like or canvas-style; belts must be worn inside belt loops from beginning to end. Ends of belt cannot hang down from the buckle.
SOCKS FOR BOYS & GIRLS:
Plain white, navy blue, or khaki 		Short or knee-hi style. Other colors are NOT acceptable
SHOES FOR BOYS & GIRLS:
Plain white, navy blue, black or brown are encouraged		 High or low top; basic laced sneakers, oxfords, or short ankle-length boots.
**High athletic, high-tops with excessive colors and lights are not appropriate. **High heels, platforms, sandals, or thongs are not acceptable.
SWEATERS/SWEATSHIRTS (OUTERWEAR) FOR BOYS & GIRLS:
Plain white, burgundy, or navy blue		 Sweaters: cardigan, v-neck, or crew neck pullover; long-sleeve style pullover; ribbed or plain bottom edge; shirt collar must be visible.
Sweatshirt: crew neck pullover; shirt collar must be visible.
COATS FOR BOYS& GIRLS: No specific requirement is designated at this time due to the fact that coats sometimes are worn for 2-3 seasons, and parents may need extra time to purchase a designated style. However, you are encouraged to purchase solid colors without writing or markings on the outside for your child’s next coat.
SPIRITWEAR: Wearing of spirit wear is optional. Burgundy is our accent color.
