The goal of Healthy Start is to improve the educational, health and social outcomes for students and their families, using the school as the site for service coordination. Healthy Start works with families using a case management approach. Healthy Start is committed to providing referral and follow-up to district and community services.

- Clothing & food closet referrals
- Medical, dental, & vision referrals & linkage to insurance enrollment
- Individual & family counseling referrals
- Truancy counseling
- Parenting class information
- Support services for pregnant teens & adults
- Suport services for families on public assistance
- And connections to many other services and resources
Healthy start partners include Birth & Beyond, Mervyns, Target, Sacramento County Children's Mental Health, Sacramento County Department of Human Assistance, and the Adolescent Family Life Program. |
