THE EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION OF AMERICA
EFA's educational funding focuses on supporting:
- underprivileged and at-risk children in grades pre-K through 12;
- offering college preparatory programs to the underserved;
- and extra curricular and after-school programs with a variety of themes, including literacy, computer skills, human rights, science and the environment.
Other programs supported by the Foundation include:
- professional and community education;
- developing innovative new curriculum;
- and assisting individuals with learning disabilities.
Funds: $15,000 to $300,000

FUNDS
FOR AFTER SCHOOL AMATEUR RADIO PROGRAMS
The AARL Foundation is offering
grants to support new after school projects
promoting amateur radio among high-school age
and younger students.
Groups that qualify for grants
include high school radio
clubs, youth groups, and general-interest radio
clubs that sponsor subgroups of young people or
otherwise make a special effort to get them involved
in club activities. Grants will be made for
such projects as securing equipment for antennas
for club stations, purchasing training materials,
supporting local service projects, and similar
activities.
Funds: up to $1,000 - $3,000

LISA LIBRARIES
The Lisa Libraries donates new children's
books and small libraries to organizations that
work with children in poor and under served areas.
Donations through the program have been
made to support after school programs and day-care
centers.

PAYLESS SHOESOURCE FOUNDATION
The Payless Shoe Source Foundation's goal is to improve the quality of life in the communities where their customers live. The Foundation will support programs that achieve measurable results in these communities.
Funds: Varies
Application Deadline: Ongoing; Smaller grant requests (under $5,000) should be submitted 60 days prior to the donation due date. Larger grant requests (over $5,000) are reviewed on a quarterly basis.
