The Risk Management department is responsible for the identification, control, and financing of the district’s loss expenditures. The department manages general liability, property and casualty, workers’ compensation, loss recovery, Americans with Disability Act, and Injury/Illness Prevention programs.
Student Accident Insurance Forms
Elk Grove Unifed Sschool District assumes no liability for accidents to students at school (E.C. 49472, 49471, 48980) and the district does not provide medical insurance for individual students. However, you may purchase student accident insurance if you wish to do so.
The insurance provides coverage for your child while on school grounds or in school building during the time your child is required to be there during a regular school day while being transported by the district to and from school or other place of instruction; or while at any other place as an incident to school-sponsored activities and while being transported to, from and between such places.
