The mission of the Department of Learning Support Services is to provide support to create positive outcomes for students and families by assisting schools with increasing equity and access by providing resources to implement supplemental programs and services; guidance in policy, programs and practices to help students achieve academic proficiency and college and career readiness. Some primary responsibilities of the department include supporting schools with the planning, implementation and evaluation of specially funded federal and state programs and to assure that all programs are developed and maintained according to the laws.
