Assessments – Student/Program

Elk Grove Unified leaders are at the forefront of advancing and implementing initiatives to close the achievement gap by providing direction and resources for on-going professional development, adoption of common core aligned materials and implementation of integrated mathematics. This year, all 40 K-6 elementary schools received the new Wonders English language arts curriculum that, paired with teacher training and technology, will help all students reach higher goals. The District also is providing strategic enrichment opportunities for all students such as intersession support and summer school enrichment. In Elk Grove Unified, teachers continuously check for understanding and adjust and adapt to improve their teaching methods. The District also uses the CASSPP test results as one of several academic measures analyzed to determine areas of need and to guide program planning and development to support student learning.
