In April 2008, Calvine High School students participated in Earth Day Creek Week activities. On the first day, students familiarized themselves with different local watersheds. On day 2, Calvine students worked at Strawberry Creek, and used GPS technology to grid areas where they catalogued all litter, flora and fauna in each grid. On day 3, students tested the water quality of Strawberry Creek.
