Calvine High School students participated in Marsh Madness, a youth leadership program hosted by California Waterfowl Association. Marsh Madness trains high school students to mentor elementary school students on all aspects of existing natural resources. This four day endeavor consisted of students learning about Stone Lakes National Wildlife Refuge and it's inhabitants, introducing themselves to the Herman Leimbach Elementary School students, familiarizing themselves with the subject at Stone Lakes, and hosting as mentors to the the inquisitive 4th graders from Herman Leimbach.
Students reflect on their Marsh Madness experience here. Marsh Madness was fun for all involved!
