Dear Elk Grove Unified Students, Parents and Families,

Nearly two months ago, life as we knew it in our schools dramatically changed as the threat of the novel coronavirus entered our community. We closed our schools, made vital support resources available and pivoted to distance learning. As we continue to work on adjustments to our normal yearly activities, like promotion and graduation plans, we also have school and District teams working on summer school needs, getting students ready for the next grade and preparing for what learning will look like and be like when we start our new school year for 2020-21 in July.

At the present moment, during the month of May, each Friday EGU News will interview health experts like our registered nurses, mental health therapists and counselors to help students and parents learn about managing stress and anxiety people might be experiencing and how to and access resources that exist within the District and within the community. For families still experiencing connectivity issues, SacRT just launched a wifi bus plan that could help some of our communities: SacRT Find the Wifi Bus

Please stay safe and stay healthy.
