Dear Elk Grove Unified Students, Parents and Families,

Halloween is right around the corner and we wish everyone a safe and enjoyable weekend. At the elementary school level, report cards are coming out and parent teacher conferences are being scheduled. In middle school, students are busy with many club and sports activities in addition to the regular academic schedule and at the high school level, students are getting ready for college and career exploration. Our community continues to stay unified in our collective effort to keep our schools open for in person learning, athletics and extracurricular activities. As students engage more socially and emotionally in school, please know that our schools have many supports for students to help them step forward, build confidence and celebrate their resiliency.

CAMPUS SAFETY

Safety Information for Parents and Students
All schools are prepared to manage threats to the school environment related to reports about weapons on campus, police activity in the area, social media threats and other similar threats. Should a school be put on a precautionary lockdown, EGUSD safety and security and school staff will immediately proceed to secure the school and work with law enforcement as needed. Parents are asked to review our District Lockdown Procedures to stay informed about our safety practices. Every school has a safety plan that is reviewed and updated every year. These plans include fire and earthquake safety drills that each school conducts and evaluates including mass casualty training.
