Bobbie Singh-Allen
 Bobbie Singh-Allen was appointed as a board member to represent Trustee Area 4 on August 16, 2012. Ms. Singh-Allen is an active member of the Elk Grove Unified community, dedicated to improving the lives of families.
With two students enrolled in EGUSD schools, and as an active school volunteer, Ms. Singh-Allen has a vested interest in the success of the district. She further supports young people through her role as a member of the Elk Grove Teen Center’s Board of Directors.
Her work in the community also includes her position as member of the Elk Grove First’s Board of Directors. In the past, she was a member of the Elk Grove Food Bank’s Board of Directors providing emergency food and services to the community. Children in the EGUSD also received clothing and uniforms through the Clothes Closet. She has also been a member of the Laguna Sunrise Rotary. In 2011, following the tragic shootings of two elderly Sikh gentlemen in Elk Grove, she helped organize the first ever American Sikh Day at the State Capitol.
In 1993, she helped to create and launch “The Mayor’s Summer Reading Camp” in Sacramento under the direction of the Late Mayor Joe Serna, Jr. The program helped “at risk” students in the first and second grade in some of Sacramento’s most challenging neighborhoods.
She currently serves as the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer for The California Lodging Industry Association. Her prior work includes serving as the Vice President of Governmental Relations for the California Hotel & Lodging Association, as a Public Affairs Consultant for L&B Associates, as the Director of Governmental Relations for the Nehemiah Corporation of America and as a California Legislative Advocate for Population Connection, Inc.
At age four, Ms. Singh-Allen immigrated to the United States from India. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the California State University, Sacramento and a Juris Doctor from Lincoln Law School.
She is married to her best friend , Jake Allen and has children enrolled at Elliott Ranch Elementary and Elizabeth Pinkerton Middle schools.
