Librarian

Ms. Margaret Hoogland teaches the research process and does other technical stuff in the library.  She orders books, and sometimes asks students what they would like to read, or if they want a specific book, they can ask her to order it.  She has been working at Florin High School for nineteen years, her hobbies are reading, traveling, and hiking.

Library Technicians

Ms. LaVawn Burnette checks out books, process books (covers books and labels them so that they're water proof, and you know that they belong to the library), helps students find books, helps with tutoring, and repairs torn, or damaged books.  She has been working at Florin for fourteen years.  Her hobbies include crocheting, sewing, and reading.

Her favorite quote is "With a Lick and a Promise."  Which means that if you do something quick the first time, it won't get done right, but if you promise to come back later, it'll be better.

Ms. Linda Heston assists with data input, and helps students select books, and checks them out.  Ms. Heston is the one who puts the books which Ms. Hoogland orders into the system and out on display.  Ms. Heston assists with tutoring in the afternoon.  She has worked with Florin students for about twenty years.  Her hobbies include Crocheting, hiking, reading, and eating.
