Central Coast Section Football Champion – San Mateo HS 2003, after seeing the program grow from 2-18 five years earlier. Creating opportunities for continuation school students through athletics including South Bay Big 6 Basketball Champion – Peninsula HS 2003. Creating a competitive Baseball program at a new charter high school in San Francisco including Academic Athletic Association Frosh/Soph Baseball Champion – International Studies Academy HS, 1996. Teaching/Coaching/Athletic Director at Aptos Middle School, a reconstituted school that became a respectable, competitive school again. Coach for Lake Murray Little League (La Mesa, CA) regular season champs and All-Star team that won the first 2 games in over a decade 95. Created a School Basketball Team for Parkway Middle School (La Mesa, Ca) through YMCA 94-95. |

Coach Manfredi has been the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Monterey Trail since the school opened in 2004. He is also an on campus teacher of World History and Sports Psychology.
As a student-athlete, Coach Manfredi played collegiate basketball at UC Davis from 1992-96. While at UC Davis, he graduated with a degree in Political Science and History and competed on two league championships basketball teams.
Coach Manfredi has helped guide the Mustangs to become a highly respected basketball program. In the school’s first three Varsity seasons, the Mustangs have an overall record of 44-40 and two consecutive playoff appearances in 2006-07 and 2007-08.
Coach Manfredi’s coaching philosophy is to teach character and values through sport. He is a teacher of sport, skill, and character. The primary values taught in the basketball program are fundamental to the players’ development as students, athletes, and young men. It is his mission to blend passion with perspective, to combine love of the sport and intensity with knowledge, integrity and self-discipline.
Coach Manfredi is happily married and has two sons. His father, Al, is a mentor and was a long-time high school basketball coach in Sacramento. |

Coach Magnuson has taught Physical Education at Monterey Trail High School since the school opened in 2004. She is also the founding owner of University Cheer Force, which is the largest and most successful all-star gym in the Sacramento area. Currently, Coach Magnuson is spending time with her 2 young children and husband and coaches her son’s soccer team. She looks forward to coaching next season’s MTHS Cheer Teams.
Coach Magnuson attended San Diego State University and was on the cheerleading team for 3 years. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from SDSU and a Master’s in Education from National University.

These young people will gain and learn confidence, teamwork, discipline, compromise, work ethics, high moral standards, and the ability to overcome obstacles. These principles are behind every decision we make. |

• As a player and team captain, he led his last place seeded team to place 5th of 16 at the collegiate Far Westerns Men's Volleyball Tournament. His team lost by 2 points to the team that went on to win the entire tournament. |
