The goal of the “Teaching American History” Project is to increase student achievement by making American History more meaningful to students’ lives. The plan for achieving this goal is to train two 5 th grade, 8 th grade and 11 th grade teachers at every school site in the EGUSD to become On-Site American History Specialists. 

On-Site American History Specialists receive:

° Content Instruction in Early American History
° Learn dynamic history skills
° Lots of Classroom Resources!

On-Site American History Specialists will share what they learn with other teachers and support them in their efforts to improve their students’ knowledge of, and passion for, American History.
