C.W. Dillard is one of the finest schools in the Elk Grove Unified School District. It has always been Dillard’s fundamental goal to provide the highest quality of education to all of its students. The Dillard staff works tirelessly above and beyond the call of any civil service to assure their students educational needs are met. Unfortunately, like so many in the state of California, tough economic times have left Dillard with less financial resources than it has enjoyed in the past. The staffs commitment and dedication to students has and will not change! Dillard will continue to provide all the basic necessities for a quality public education. However, we feel it is time to post a “C.W. Dillard Wish List” in an attempt to maximize our existing resources.
There is no requirement for any person or persons to donate to Dillard from the “Wish List”. Nor would anyone be denied services for not participating. Any item donated to C.W. Dillard will be used for the greater good of all C.W. Dillard students as the needs arise. In the case of a substantial donation, itemized receipts can be provided to donors for tax purposes.
Wilton is a tight nit community who has always supported each other during times of need, these times are no different. Together we will weather the economic storm and keep the stresses and challenges of our world from affecting the innocence of our children.
Thank you for all you do.

Dillard History
C.W. Dillard is the only Elk Grove school south of the Cosumnes River, and it has its origins in three country schools. The first was the Davis School, formed in 1865, and named for relatives of Jefferson Davis. The Lee School was built in 1872 and the original Dillard School in 1915. The present school was built in 1956 and named for C.W. Dillard who donated the land for the school. Davis school joined with Dillard in 1915, and when the Elk Grove district unified in 1959, the Lee School joined with Dillard.
