Mission Statement
The mission of Cosumnes Oaks High School and Elizabeth Pinkerton Middle School is to challenge students to maximize their potential as learners, achievers, and citizens, and to cultivate within our students the values, skills, and competencies required to be positive leaders within their community.

School History
Elizabeth Pinkerton began her career with Elk Grove Unified School District in 1962 as a seventh-grade teacher.  She served as a teacher and administrator at elementary, middle and high schools in Elk Grove before becoming the director of State and Federal Programs.  Known for her innovation in education, she is a distinguished educator at local, state, and national levels. As a local historian, she is a published author on Elk Grove history and writes a column for the Elk Grove Citizen. During her 40 years in education she worked hard planting and nurturing the seeds for a quality education for all students in the Elk Grove Unified School District.
