Football stadium to be named in memory of Mark Macres

October 25, 2007

Mark Macres served as a beloved vice-principal, mentor and friend to both students and staff at Monterey Trail High School and Florin High School.  He passed away from cancer in the spring of 2007.

As a tribute to Macres, the stadium shared by both Monterey Trail and Florin – located at Monterey Trail High School – will be named in his honor.  The stadium dedication ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 26.

The public is invited to join the Macres family; staff, students and families from both high schools; the Elk Grove Unified School District Board of Education and other dignitaries as they dedicate the stadium in Mark Macres honor.
