ABOUT OUR SCHOOL Named after a prominent member of the Florin community, David Reese School has a long history. Built in 1884, the original school was built on land donated by the Reese family. The current school was opened in 1966 and continues to serve the families of the Florin area.

Committed to provide a safe learning environment where every student knows they are valued, the staff at David Reese offers experiences that encourage academic and social growth. Our children are empowered to become productive and responsible citizens of their community.

In a community that has gone through some difficult times, our school strives to be a shining light where the children, our bright future, learn and have fun. We are committed to instill hope and inspiration in our students; we recognize the importance of partnering together with the parents and the community to accomplish this goal.  Our school motto, “Dream It, Believe It, & Achieve It,” says it all.
