With a current enrollment of over 62,000 students and over 5,000 employees, EGUSD is the 5th largest school district in California based on student population. The District operates 40* elementary schools, nine comprehensive high schools, nine middle schools, four alternative education schools – including a virtual academy, a special education school, an adult education program and a dependent charter school, for a total of 65 schools.
*NOTE: Two new elementary schools will be opening in the 2017-2018 school year. “Anatolia II” and “Laguna Ridge North” are temporary names, official school names will be selected at a later date.
