Intersession Programs

Intersession Programs

During the school year, there may be opportunities for students to participate in intersession offerings during breaks. Year-round school sites offer five days of intersession for each off-track session. These programs operate during the regular school day for five days while each track is off meaning they are in operation 12 months of the year. Students who attend intersession may be picked up at the end of the school day or may join the ExL after school program during the week that they are attending intersession.

Modified traditional sites that run a slightly shorter summer program also offer an additional five-day intersession program during winter or spring break. Intersession programs enable students from all calendars to have access to a minimum of 30 non-school days of programming (Ed. Code 46120(B)(i)).
