What will be offered at Elementary Schools?
Students who will be in grades TK-6 in the fall may attend Summer Learning Programs at elementary schools. Summer learning will include a camp-like, engaging program for TK-2 students with an emphasis on early literacy and developing reading skills. Upper elementary students will have camp-like offerings with themed activities such as Visual
and Performing Arts (VAPA); Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math (STEAM); Social Emotional Learning (SEL), and leadership. Some regional programs will be offered to accommodate site maintenance and facilities updates. Please check with your student’s school for the exact location and times of program offerings for students from your school. ExL after school programs will be offered to extend the summer day until 5:30 to accommodate family needs.
What will be offered at High Schools?
Students who will be in grades 9-12 in the fall who are in need of additional credits toward graduation may attend Summer Learning Programs at the high school. Please contact your student’s counselor for additional information about credit-based course offerings.

School Year Intersession Programs and Camps
During the school year, there may be opportunities for students to participate in intersession offerings or camps during breaks. Year-round school sites offer five days of intersession for each off-track session. These programs operate during the regular school day for five days while each track is off, meaning they are in operation 12 months of the year. Students who attend intersession may be picked up at the end of the school day or may join the ExL after school program during the week that they are attending intersession. Additionally, students who attend year-round schools are invited to attend a 3-day Fall Camp during the Thanksgiving break in November.
Traditional and modified traditional sites may offer additional five-day camps during winter or spring break. Winter or spring camps enable students from all calendars to have access to a minimum of 30 non-school days of programming (Ed. Code 46120(B)(i)).
