Heidi Moore was elected to the Elk Grove Unified School District Board of Education to represent Trustee Area 7 in the general election in November of 2024.

Mrs. Moore is an involved parent in the community and has been actively engaged in her children’s education through volunteering and advocacy at their schools and at the district level, serving on numerous district committees. She served on the Robert J. McGarvey Elementary School Site Council, represented Katherine L. Albiani Middle School on the Superintendent’s Parent Advisory Committee, and worked on the district’s Comprehensive Sexual Health Advisory Committee.

Mrs. Moore was raised in a small farming community in Idaho, which taught her the importance of community and the value of hard work. She attended Boise State University where she studied Nursing. As a Registered Nurse, she has had the opportunity to work with a variety of patient populations. She has specifically worked with youth in multiple capacities. She has volunteered as the Camp Nurse for several summers at a local church youth camp and she has also worked in Adolescent Behavioral Health.

Mrs. Moore will bring a parent perspective to the board and will work to ensure there is improved transparency and communication with community members. She would like to see increased opportunities for parent and community input as the board considers important decisions that will impact students and families. She will strive to listen to all stakeholders to ensure our children have the resources, facilities, and support that they need to thrive academically.

Mrs. Moore and her husband have raised their four children in South Rancho Cordova since 2013, with children currently attending district schools. Her involvement within the Elk Grove Unified School District and within her community demonstrate her commitment to serve our students and families.
